David ''Davey / ID'' Thornton, went to be with
our Lord on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Manor Care in Wichita, Kansas.
Davey was born April 22, 1957 to Leroy and Roseline (Littlecrow) Thornton. Davey
made his living in construction, roofing and carpentry work. He was a jack of
all trades. Davey was always willing to lend a helping hand. A Hard worker, he
never left at job unfinished.
Davey was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan. He enjoyed bowling and our annual
family reunions. He was strong willed and never gave up. He was a jokester by
nature and always had an onrey comment for everyone along with a smile.
Davey is survived by his four children Kristie, David Jr. and wife Jessica,
Destiny and Tyler; four grandchildren, Brother James ''Sonny'' Thornton –
Littlecrow and wife Janette, Leroy Thornton Jr and wife Sheryl, John ''Walker''
Thornton and wife Angie; sister Janie Cox and husband Jeff, numerous nephews,
nieces, great nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by mother Roseline ''Rose'' J. Littlecrow-Thornton,
sister Rosella ''Tiny'' Ortiz, Brother Robert D. Thornton and companion Mary
House.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 22, 2016 at the
Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cemetery under the direction of the Grace Memorial Chapel.
Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 22,
2016 with the family receiving friends at the Grace Memorial Chapel.
