John Robedeaux Jr passed away on September 20, 2018 at
2:32 a.m. at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.
Traditional funeral services were held on Friday,
September 28, 2018 at the Otoe Missouria Tribal Center with
burial following at the Otoe Missouria Tribal Cemetery. Services
were under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel Funeral Home
John was born on May 15, 1942 to Ida Mae McGlaslin and John
Robedeaux Sr. in Concho, OK.
He was a member of the Otoe Missouria Tribe, Bear Claw Clan.
John graduated from the Chilocco Indian School where he
then enlisted in the United States Army. He had multiple night
jumps while stationed in Germany during the Vietnam era with the
82nd Airborne.
John made his living as a carpenter doing frame work, and
sheet rocking but who was also a jack of all trades.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Ma McGlaslin and his
father John Robedeaux Sr. sister Melrose Rattler and nephew
Phillip Robedeaux.
He is survived by his sons, John Robedeaux Jr. and Eric
Robedeaux and daughter-in-law Amy Robedeaux; his daughter, Lisa
Reynolds and son-in-law Shawn Reynolds. His Grandchildren are
Jesse, Chelsea, Lottie, Checota, Isaian, Joesph, Nathaniel,
Makensey, Kailee, Cheyenne, Nakotah and Dakota and many
great-grandchildren.
