Joseph was born on August 13, 1957 to Billy Gene and Henrietta Rose
(Dent) Lane in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Joseph grew up in Perry and went to
Perry High School. He…
married the love of his life Franchone Mae Bearheels in 1978 and had 3
children together and 4 children in his second marriage.
Joseph enjoyed doing many activities such as beading, fishing, spending
time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved talking
about spending time with his grandpa and telling stories about his
grandparents. He was part of the Bear Clan with the OTOE-MISSOURIA tribe
as well as the Kitkehaki band with the PAWNEE tribe of Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his wife Franchone Mae Bearheels, his father
Billie Gene Lane and one brother Michael Eugene Lane.
He is survived by his mother, Henrietta Rose Lane, his children, Donavan
Bearheels and his wife Jeri Lynn Walking Eagle, Billy Joe Lane, Sr.,
Benjamin Roy Lane, Tanner Joseph Lane, Taylor Gene Lane, Bailey Jo Lane
and Destiny Lively. He is also survived by his siblings, Nelson David
Lane, Leland Siemans, Shannen Shawn Dent, Sissy Lane and William Gene
Lane, along with nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
