Doris Kent, 69, of Morrison, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Enid Senior Care in Enid, OK.
Doris was born on January 24, 1945
in Pawnee, OK to Woolsey and Emily No Ear Green Kent. Doris was a
lifelong area resident of the Morrison area. She graduated Chilocco
Indian School where she had been The Homecoming Queen. She was also
a Blue Star Mother.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Woodrow,
Marland, Maurice, Charles, Leo Edward and Chester, sisters Virginia,
Dorothy and Cleona.
Doris is survived by her children Troyce Garringer and her husband
Chester, Kenneth James Williams and Amy Kinzie, Cpl. Vincent Kent
all of Morrison, OK. 2 brothers Garland Lee and Lucy Kent, SR and
Louis Green both of Ponca City and her twin sister Dorcas Williams
of Tulsa. 10 grandchildren Hayden, Brayden, Tristan, Tayler, Telain,
Toni Rae, Taleah, Marland, Feather Rae and Marrisa. 2 great
grandchildren Allison and Bella and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wake service will be 7 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2014 at the
OtoeMissouria Cultural Center with Traditional Meal at NOON on
Tuesday, February 18, 2014 with services to follow at 2 p.m., both
at the OtoeMissouria Cultural Center with Pastor Chester Garringer
of the Glencoe Spirit Truth Church and Ted Grant, officiating.
Casket bearers will be Hayden Garringer, Brayden Garringer, Ty
Williams, Kent Williams, Ceasar Williams, JR, Cpl. Vincent Kent and
Lance Cpl. Marland Kent. Honorary casket bearers will be Paige
McDonald, Garland Kent, JR, Tyler Kent and Thomas Kent.
Burial will follow in the
OtoeMissouria Tribal Cemetery in Red Rock, OK.
