Beatrice was born the daughter of Herbert Hudson and Thelma M. Pux Hudson on February 19, 1918 in Red Rock, Oklahoma. She attended Chilocco Indian School in Oklahoma and then moved to California to start her career. Bea worked at Hughes Aircraft Company as a secretary for most of her life. She loved cooking and entertaining for guests and was always a gracious hostess. When she returned to Oklahoma City after she retired, she devoted herself to church, volunteering her time to help type the weekly bulletin and schedules. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Mitzi Clarke; grandchildren, Tonya Murphy, India Ankerstrom Koch and Sandy Waite; great grandchildren, Austin Murphy, Jessica Taylor, Keara Murphy, Conor Murphy, Valerie Ankerstrom, Amber Ankerstrom and Kyle Ankerstrom.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Victory Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with Reverend Mary Lou Coppin officiating.
Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2009 at the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Cemetery in Red Rock, Oklahoma with Wesley Hudson officiating.
A luncheon will
be served following the Friday service at the Otoe-Missouria
Cultural Center.
