Rene Lydia Carrera Dominguez, 35, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on April 11, 2020.

Rena was born on January 8, 1985 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Felipe Hernandez and Wylarma Dominguez. Rena was a loving and compassionate person who loved making others laugh and loved being silly. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul.
Rena loved spending the holidays with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her friends; going on annual float trips, getting dolled up and wearing the prettiest dresses. The relationship she had with her sister and brothers, was not like any other. Rena was a wonderful sister that taught them a lot and she always had their backs. When her siblings would see her, their whole faces would light up. Most of all, she loved and adored her husband and children, they were her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her their faces, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you. Rena wanted nothing more for them than to have a wonderful life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rena is survived by her husband of seven years, Vicente Carrera; children Zantana Chavarin
(14), Wylarma Ismeray Chavarin (10) and, Santos Vinny Carrera (2); sister, Alicia Macias and brothers, Felipe Dominguez, Adam Dominguez and Dominic Dominguez; brother in law, Rene Macias and sister in law, Chantal Dominguez; three nephews and two nieces.

Rena is preceded in death by her grandmother, Wylarma Haze; great grandmother, Edna Phillips; niece, Dakota Dominguez; uncle Preston Haze; and aunt Davina Pritchett.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 16th at the Poteet funeral home in Pawnee, OK.

Gravesite Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 17th at the Otoe Cemetery in Redrock, OK.
