A graveside service for Gene “Packy” Cowell, 68, of Perry, will be 2 p.m. Monday in Mount Carmel Cemetery, northwest of Perry. The Rev. Martin Foster will officiate. Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry.
He was born Dec. 6, 1938, in Perry to Floyd Clarence and Dorothy Eugenia Lancaster Cowell and died Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Enid.
He served in Oklahoma National Guard and had worked as an oil field tool pusher. He married Margie Busse April 28, 2001, in Eureka Springs, Ark.
Surviving are his wife Margie; one son, Brett Frye of Tulsa; one daughter, Terri Fuller of Tonkawa; one brother, Dennis Cowell of Perry; one sister, Sherry Schweer of Perry; and two grandsons.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to American Diabetes Association.
