Palmer Marler
Patricia Ann Parker of Morrison left this earth on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, in
Stillwater.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday in the Morrison Cemetery
with the Rev. Roy Fleshman officiating. Services are under the direction of
Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater.
She was born July 11, 1942, in Shawnee, to Dan and Ann (Ellis) Beleu. She later
attended East Central University where she met the love of her life, Michael Lee
Parker. The two were married on Jan. 10, 1963.
From this union two daughters, Beth and Anne, were born. She worked for Citizens
State Bank for 30 years and was a member of the Morrison American Legion
Auxiliary Christie-Jones unit 343 where she served as treasurer for many years.
She loved her Lord and knew she was going to her forever home. All of her
friends and family will have a very special angel watching over them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Michael, whom in 1994
became disabled.
She spent the last 12 years of his life tirelessly and lovingly taking care of
him while also working full time. He passed on Nov. 7, 2006.
She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Beth and Steve Shaffer
and Anne and Chris North; grandchildren, Melissa Sanspree and husband, Matt, of
Ocala, Fla. and Taylor and Brooklynn of Norman; one brother, Steve Beleu of
Norman; one very special great grandchild, Mason Michael Sumpter of Morrison,
who in these last 15 months brought so much love and joy during her very hard
health battles.
She had a lot of very special friends who loved her very much. She fought long
and hard and never gave up hope. No matter how she was feeling, she would always
put a smile on her face and love in our hearts. She will be deeply missed.
