Ida Marie McNeal was born May 29, 1905, on a farm near
Lucien and attended Covington public school. She married
Paul Thompson. He preceded her in death. They had one son.
She married Bernard Smith of Covington. He died in 1960. On
August 9, 1975, she married Claud Thompson. He also preceded
her in death. She lived most of her life in Covington where
she was a member of the Free Methodist Church. In the late
1960s, she moved to Enid where she was a member of Free
Methodist Church. She moved to Perry in January.
Surviving are one son, Clarence E. Thompson of Orlando; one
brother, Dap McNeal of Midwest City; three sisters, Mildred
McGuar of Enid, Virginia Norris of Covington and Ella Maude
Moff of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren; 15 great –
grandchildren; and eight great – great – grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters, one
grandson and one great – granddaughter.
