The funeral for Marie Elizabeth Goe, 98, of Perry,
will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lucien United Methodist Church. The Revs. Jerry
Perryman and Paulette Albright will officiate. Burial will be in McGuire
Cemetery, Lucien. Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry.
She was born July 31, 1907, in Noble County, to Jacob and Luise Just Rupp and
died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at Green Valley Nursing Home, Perry.
She graduated from Perry High School in 1926. She married Frank Michael Goe Nov.
28, 1929, in Noble County. He died Nov. 13, 1971.
She was a homemaker and taught piano lessons for several years. She was a member
of Lucien United Methodist Church, where she played the organ and piano over 50
years and was Bible school director.
Surviving are one son, Elroy Goe of Medford; one daughter, Alice Marie Mack of
Lucien; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Frank, she was preceded in death by four brothers
and three sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Lucien United Methodist
Church.
