The funeral for Kenneth Edgar, 87, of Perry, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First
Assembly of God Church, Perry. The Rev. Brett Nation will officiate. Burial will
be in McGuire Cemetery, Lucien. Arrange-ments are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home,
Perry.
Family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born July 10, 1918, in Lucien, to William Henry and Etta Belle Ohls Edgar
and died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at his home.
He married Ila Maud Friend April 13, 1940, in Perry. She died Sept. 18, 1984.
He married Rita Nida Feb. 10, 1989, in Perry. He was a farmer and
rancher, and a member of First Christian Church of Ceres.
Surviving are his wife, Rita; one son, Carlin Edgar of Perry; nine stepchildren,
Jean Rutherford of Woodward, Barbara Summerall of Mooreland, Ronald Nida and
Annette Wertzberger, both of Lawrence, Kan., Shari Goley and Judy Goin, both of
Edmond, Robert Nida and Mike Nida, both of Perry, and Carl Nida of Edmond; two
brothers, Jerry and Earl Edgar, both of of Perry; two sisters, Henrietta Becker
of Perry and Ruby Spier of Thomaston, Ga.; four grandsons; several
stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife, Ila Maud, he was preceded in death by an infant
daughter, one son, two brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK
73077, to Judith Karman Hospice.
