Martin Lewis Collins was born in Iowa, April 14, 1856, and died at his home in Lela, Oklahoma March 10, 1936.  At the time of his death he was 79 years, 10 months , and 27 days old. 
 
He was united in marriage to Virginia Lee Cummings at Eldorado Kan., in 1875. To this union were born 7 children all of whom are living but one son who died in infancy.  

Those who are left to mourn his departure are Henry Collins , of Wynona, Frank Collins and Rosa Porter of Pawnee, Elsa Akers of Morrison, Maud Kelley of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Emma Thomas of Alberta Canada.  All were present during his last illness but the daughter in Canada.
 

His wife passed away in March 1927. He was later married to Mrs. Sallie Williams of Pawnee who is left with other relatives and friends to mourn his departure.
