Graveside services for Ray Williams are scheduled for 2:00
p.m. Monday, June 4, 2007 at the Grace Hill Cemetery with Rev. Steve Smith
officiating. Services are under the direction of Perry Funeral Home.
Mr. Williams was born on November 11, 1927 to Ray and Grace (Tuttle) Williams in
Kiowa, Kansas and passed from this life on May 31, 2007 at his residence at the
age of 79 years. He grew up and attended school in Perry and on January 20, 1951
he married Clara Herrian in Stillwater, OK. He was affiliated with the Perry
Nazarene Church. Mr. Williams was a cross country truck driver. His hobbies
included hunting, fishing, birddogs, working on cars and he was know in his
family as Mr. Fix-It.
He is survived by:
Wife: Clara of the home
2 Sons: Jimmy Williams and wife Connie of West Point, Nebraska
Mitchell Ray Williams of Bakersfield, California
2 Daughters: Sandy Ellis and husband Butch of Perry, OK
Mary Hunt of Perry, OK
1 Sister: Edna Hoffman of Perry, OK
5 Grandchildren: Rusty Ellis and wife Kursha, Aleasa Ellis, Tracy Hughes and
wife Dawna, Deidra Hughes, Justin Hughes and wife Brynda
10 Great-Grandchildren: Daysia, Bryce, Mason Ellis, Bailey, Nic, Parker, Ki,
Braylynn, Jayden and Dakota Hughes
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Ralph and Harold; 1 sister,
Juanita and 1 grandson; Neal Ellis
