Georgia (Murch) Thompson, age 86, went to be her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at her home in Perry.

Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry.

Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Perry.

Family will greet guests from 6PM to 8PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 at 1PM at the First Christian Church in Perry with Pastor Josh Bell officiating.

Interment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery.

Georgia was born March 27, 1932 in Perry, Oklahoma to George and Mini (Graham) Murch. She attended Hunter County Schools from 1st grade through 8th grade before obtaining her G.E.D. She and Frankie Jewell Thompson were married July 30, 1951 in Lonoke, Arkansas.
She worked 20 years for Ditch Witch in Perry. She and Frank enjoyed playing music for a lot of country dances in their younger years. Georgia was very talented. She could the Fiddle, Guitar, and Banjo. She also enjoyed writing poems and oil painting. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She had a great love for her God, family, and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Misty Kay Thompson of Cushing, OK.; two brothers, Frank Murch and wife Georgia of Warmer, OK, and John Murch and wife Leslie of Cresent, OK; three sisters, Jean Hageman and Clara Ward both of Perry, OK, and Ruby Walker of Myrtle Creek, OR; three Grandchildren, Nate and wife Courtney Blocker, Scott Blocker, and Danielle Blocker; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; one half-brother, Dough Graham, and two brothers-in-law, Leo Ward, and Fred Hageman.
