Margaret Nelson Seeliger, 88, of Perry, long-time Noble County resident, was the daughter and last surviving child of Harry and Fern (Edwards) Nelson.

She was born Jan. 18, 1919, in the family home on a farm near Morrison and died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry.

Margaret was reared on a farm near Morrison and moved to Perry to live with her grandmother and attend Perry High School.

She and Lawrence "LA" Seeliger were married Aug. 16, 1940, in Perry. They resided on a farm near Morrison for years, where they reared three children, participated in 4-H and FFA and never missed Morrison basketball games.

Margaret was a charter member of Golden Circle Home Demonstration Club and was active in Oklahoma Agricultural Extension Service activities.

In 1968, Margaret and Lawrence moved to Perry. She and her husband were married for 40 years before his death July 23, 1979.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Grace Hill Memorial Pavilion in Grace Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Martin Foster will officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home of Perry.

There will be a family visitation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday in Brown-Dugger Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Companion Hospice or Parkinson's Research in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Seventh Street, Perry, 73077.

Margaret is survived by one daughter, Judith "Judy" Reichardt and her, husband, Alan, of Helotes, Texas; one son, Keith Seeliger and his wife, Audrey, of Maud; seven grandchildren, Brett and Kyra Reichardt of Riverton, Kan., Bennett and Vicki Kennedy of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, Carl and Brooke Seeliger of Knoxville, Tenn., Lawrence and Toni Rae Seeliger of Crescent, Larry and Carrie Seeliger of Fairfax, Cador Seeliger of Knoxville and Dodge Nichols of Stillwater and 11 great-grandchildren, Kable Reichardt of Riverton, Kan., Kohl Kennedy and Kade Kennedy of Fair Oaks Ranch, Garrett Seeliger and Caitlyn Seeliger of Perry, Layne Seeliger, Galin Seeliger, Kadin Seeliger, Jaylea Seeliger and Kobyie Seeliger of Crescent and Dayton Seeliger of Fairfax.

In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by one son, Larry Seeliger, her parents, Harry and Fern Nelson and three sisters, Clarice Tyler, Evadna Nelson and Ruby Collins.

Margaret's family extends special thanks to the staff at Perry Green Valley Nursing Home and the caring individuals at Companion Hospice.
