The funeral for Dale Eugene Meyer, 71, of Perry, will be 2 p.m. Monday at First
Baptist Church, Perry. Kent Ritchie will officiate.
Burial will be in Grace Hill
Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry.
He was born March 14, 1934, in Mulhall to Tony and Anna Meyer and died Thursday,
Dec. 8, 2005, at Perry Memorial Hospital.
He graduated from Orlando High School in 1953 and attended Oklahoma State
University.
He worked in the oil fields and at ranches in Texas and Oklahoma.
He also was a surveyor for the state Soil Conservation Service and Oklahoma
State Highway Department. He co-owned a construction company with his brother
and worked at Charles Machine Works until he retired. He was a lifelong farmer
and rancher.
He married Darlene Emanuelson June 25, 1966, in Perry where they made their
home.
Surviving are his wife, Darlene; two sons, David and Tommy Meyer, both of Perry;
two sisters, Cleo Kudlac of Yukon and Irma Trompler of Tulsa; four brothers,
Donald Meyer of Orlando, Cecil Meyer of Perry, Doyle Meyer of Marshall and Ivan
Berger of Ponca City.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK
73077, to charity of donor’s choice.
