The funeral for Paul M. Marker, 83, of Perry, will be 2 p.m.
Monday at Calvary Baptist Church, Perry. The Rev. Roger Dunn will officiate.
Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry.
Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger
Funeral Home, Perry. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the
funeral home.
He was born Oct. 14, 1924, at Wintersville, Ohio, to Paul F. and Alice Marker
and died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Perry Memorial Hospital.
He served in the Army during World War II. Prior to retirement, he worked in law
enforcement as a deputy sheriff and had been a heavy equipment operator. He
married Patricia Ann Elaine Marker Aug. 12, 1960. She died Dec. 11, 2003.
Surviving are two sons, James Jerome “Jimmy” Marker of Perry and Dwight
McDonough of Byhalia, Miss.; eight daughters, Michelle Ann Reeves, Paula Denise
Marker, Victoria Shareen Emmons, Tamara Dionne McNabb, Shannon Eileen Marker,
Laurie Lee Marker and Christine Lynn Marker, all of Perry, and Cheryl Sailing of
Ohio; two sisters, Evelyn Finley and Ruth Rauschenbach, both of Ohio; 17
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, he was preceded in death by one grandson.
