A graveside service will be 4 p.m. Monday at Grace Hill
Memorial Pavilion in Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry. Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry. Family
visitation will follow the funeral service.
She was born July 23, 1917, in DaCosta, Texas, to John Lindsey and
Hazel Juanita Bense Dixon and died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at
Stillwater Medical Center.
She was a graduate of Sumner High School.
She married Furman "Slab" Lewis Aug. 30, 1936, in Perry. He died
Sept. 9, 1993.
She was a retail clerk for J C Penney for more than 23 years.
She was a member of Zion
Lutheran Church, Stillwater.
Surviving are one son, Furman Ray Lewis of Stillwater; two
daughters, Glenda Darlene Edwards and Jean Heister, both of
Stillwater; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandson.
In addition to her husband, Slab, she was preceded in death by three
brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th Street,
Perry, OK 73077, to Zion
Lutheran Church, Still-water,
or American Cancer Society.
