The funeral for George J. Harlow Sr., 82, of Stillwater, will be 10 a.m. Monday
at Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel, Perry. Burial will be in Grace Hill
Cemetery, Perry. He was born July 19, 1923, in Perry to George Thomas and Mattie
Cole Harlow and died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, at Stillwater Medical Center. He
served in the Army and Air Force, stationed in Korea during World War II. He
received a Korean Service Medal, two Bronze Stars, and a Good Conduct Medal. He
was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Moose Lodge.
He married Ruby M. Brown Dec. 27, 1954. He was a truck driver for R. L. Frailey.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby; three sons, three daughters, one brother of
Georgetown, Texas; one sister of Elizabethtown, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and 11
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
