Edith “Babe” Graham, 79, of Perry passed from this life on
October 12, 2012. Funeral services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral
Home of Perry and will be held at 11:00am Tuesday at the Palmer Marler Funeral
Home Chapel at 203 Fir St. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10am to 8pm.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from
5pm-8pm.
Edith “Babe” Chase was born on November 13, 1932 to Chester and Velva Chase in
Perry, OK. She was raised on a farm southeast of Perry. She was married to Doug
Graham in 1947 by a Justice of the Peace in Perry. Doug and Babe moved to
Perryton, TX, where they raised their three boys. In 1974, the family returned
to Perry.
Edith was a homemaker and loved her family very much. The highlight of her life
was raising her three sons. She loved to cook and was always very supportive of
her husband, Doug. Edith enjoyed raising cattle, bowling, playing bingo, and
watching golf on TV. Her generous spirit led her to take in many stray and
abandoned animals and she never passed up a chance to help a friend.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents. A brother :Gene Chase. A sister
:Ethel June.
She is survived by her husband of 65 yrs, Doug Graham. Three sons: Rick Graham
of Alva, OK. David Graham and wife Donna, of Enid, OK. Jim Graham of Perry, OK.
One Brother: Ed Chase and wife Peggy, Of Perry, OK. Six grandchildren: Jason
Graham and wife Rebecca, of Manitou Springs, CO. Jennifer Holmes and husband
Gary, of Skokie, IL. Teresa Cummings and husband, Billy of Alva, OK. Neil Graham
of Alva, OK. Raven Graham of Eugene, OR. Shane Graham of Perry, OK 4
great-grandchildren: Tatum, Jackson, Bree, and Katelyn. and nephews and nieces,
Eddie Glenn, Tony, Allan, Velva (Snookie), Gina, Debbie, Tammy, and Timmy.
