Frances MONCRIEF, 91, Enid, died Monday morning (Sep. 3, 1979) in an Enid hospital following a period of ill health. Her service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Jim Logsdon officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Grace Hill Cemetery at Perry.
Mrs. Moncrief was born Nov. 15, 1887 at Burton, Kan., and came to Oklahoma at the age of six, settling east of Billings. At the age of seven, she moved to the Ceres community where she attended schools and lived until moving to Enid five years ago.
The former Frances Osborne, she married Harry D. Moncrief Dec 12, 1911. He died Feb 9, 1955.
Mrs. Moncrief was a charter member of Ceres Baptist Church, and a member of First Baptist Church at Billings.
Survivors include one son, John L., Enid; one daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Faye) Curby, Enid; three granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Mose Ratliff, Mrs. Jack Stockton, and Mrs. John Leigh, all of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Earnest Tobias, Perry; and one brother, Jess Osborne, Perry.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church at Billings with the church or funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
