The funeral for Jeanne M. Faris, 85, of Horizon City, Texas, formerly of Perry,
will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at First United Methodist Church, Perry.
The Rev. Ed Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry. Family visitation will be
6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 14, 1922, in Billings to Fred A. and Hazel M. Noonan Combrink
and died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at Regent Care, El Paso, Texas.
She married William G. Faris Feb. 24, 1945, in Cherokee. She worked in many
offices at the Noble County Court House and at Lloyd Jones Well Service, Perry
Memorial Hospital, Morrow Service Co., and Days Inn. She also was a Avon
representative. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Order of the
Eastern Star and the Progress Club, and was active in the Democratic Party.
She moved to El Paso 10 years ago where she spent much of her time with the
children of Escontrias Elementary School and helped with fundraisers and
bookkeeping.
Suviving are one daughter, Billie Jean Keirns of Horizon City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and two brothers.
