James (Jim) R. Dolezal, age 91, of Perry, Oklahoma passed away
November 4, 2020 in Oklahoma City.
Jim was the son of George W. and Margaret (McCoy) Dolezal and grandson of Joseph
E. and Mary Josephine Dolezal who settled in the Perry area during the Cherokee
Strip Land Run (1893). He married Sarah Lou Gibson on August 13, 1946. He was a
graduate of Perry High School.
Jim is survived by one son, John and wife Mary Louise; five grandchildren, Amy
Presley, Joshua Dolezal, Sarah Dolezal, Chad Bryant, and Aaron Bryant and 19
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sarah Lou,
daughter Deborah, brothers George Jr and Jack Dolezal.
Most of Jim’s work career was spent working with his father and brother (Jack)
in the Noble County Abstract/Dolezal Agency business.
Upon retiring, Jim would spend most of his time doing what he truly enjoyed,
gardening and being around family.
A private family service will be held at a later date at Grace Hill Cemetery in
Perry.
Memorial donations in Jim’s name may be made by mailing a check to the Oklahoma
Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 3809 S Boulevard, Edmond, Ok. 73013.
