Funeral services for Janice Marley Cowen were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at The Antelope Valley Church of the Brethren in Billings, Oklahoma where she was an active member. 
 
Interment followed at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma with Pastor Kelly Cronkhite officiating.  Services were under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home.

Janice Marie Buckles  was born on May 11, 1940 in Oakwood, Oklahoma to Ira Gilbert and Glennace Maxine (Chain) Buckles.and died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry, Oklahoma at the age of 72. 

She graduated from Billings High School in 1958. Janice married Brice Manley in 1958 . Three children were born to this union. 

She was married to Arnold Calvert Cowen on November 30, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he survives her.  

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by one son, Brian Manley and his wife, Abby of Perry, Oklahoma; one daughter, Melanie Unruh of Perry, Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Carol Cowen of Perry, Oklahoma; mother, Glennace Maxine Buckles of Enid, Oklahoma; two brothers, Jerry Buckles of Perry, Oklahoma, Dwight Buckles of Enid, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Ira Buckles and one son, Mark Ray Manley.
