The funeral for Henry "Scobe" Coburn, 67, of Perry, will be 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Perry. Elder F.R. Johnson and the Rev. Willie Anderson will officiate.
Burial will be in Grace Hill Cemetery, Perry. Arrangements are
by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry.
He was born April 1, 1938, in Meridian to Alfred and Ada Mae Hoskins Coburn and
died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at Green Valley Nursing Home, Perry.
He graduated from Attucks High School, Ponca City, in 1956 and was a member of
C.M.E. Church in Ponca City. She served in the Army in Vietnam.
He married Aline JoAnn Austin in June 1978, in Perry. He was a member and deacon
of Perry Church of God in Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Aline JoAnn, of the home; two sons, Eric Coburn of
Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cletis Brown of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters,
Belinda Coburn and Bridgette Coburn Maddix, both of Kansas City; one brother,
Ervin Coburn of Oklahoma City; a sister, Pearline Coburn Duncan of Ponca City;
and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th, Perry, OK 73077, to
the donor's choice.
