Collene ‘Coke’ Bell Anderson, 83 passed from this life on January 18, 2014. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a service celebrating her life will be held at 10:30am Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Albert Quick officiating. Internment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9am-8pm and the family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday evening.

Collene was born to William and Ethel (Chartier) Paulsen on July 20, 1930 in Hennessey, Oklahoma.

In 1938, Collene moved to Morrison, Oklahoma with her family and graduated from Morrison High School in 1948. After graduation, she worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Collene and Neils Anderson were married on June 4, 1949, in Newkirk, Oklahoma. They made their home in Perry, Oklahoma, where Collene continued to work with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 14 years. Along with husband Neils, she owned Western Tank Trucks until retiring in 1974. After retiring, she spent her time as a homemaker and raised her daughter, Sandy.

Collene loved baking and spent 37 years decorating special occasion cakes for friends and family. She also enjoyed fishing, gardening in her yard and was an avid collector of butterfly items.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Jim Soulek of Perry, Oklahoma. One grandson, Brent Joseph Soulek of Edmond, Oklahoma. One granddaughter, Amy Collene Domke and her husband, Scott of Fort Worth, Texas. Two great grandchildren, Jake Lawson Soulek of Edmond, Oklahoma and Caroline Marie Domke of Fort Worth, Texas. One sister, Goldie Hoskins of Morrison, Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Neils, parents William and Ethel Paulsen, two sisters, Betty Mosena and her identical twin sister, Lorrene Hornberger.

Memorials may be made to the Perry Grandparents Club or the Perry Senior Citizen Center in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
