ENID, Okla. — Geraldine “Gerry” Alstrom, 76, of Martinsville,
Va., formerly of Perry, Okla., was born Dec. 3, 1935, in
Detroit, Mich.,daughter of Wilbur & Mildred (Robbins) Parsons, and died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at her residence
in Martinsville.
Gerry married her best friend and sweetheart, Kenneth "Kenny"
Arnold Alstrom on September 16, 1986 in Dallas, Texas. Kenny preceded her in
death on December 11, 2003.
She enjoyed bowling, gardening and reading but her most of all she loved
spending time with her loving family.
Gerry was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Gerry is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Campbell and her husband,
Darrell of Ridgeway, Virginia, Susan Pankhurst and her husband Steve of Perry,
Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Tyler Burkett of Perry, Oklahoma, Shannon Baker
and her husband, Josh of Spencer, Virginia, Susan Williams and her husband,
Chris of Ridgeway, Virginia and Trey Campbell of Ridgway, Virginia; four great
grandchildren, Harlee Atkins of Ridgeway, Virginia, Daniel Baker and Dustin
Baker of Spencer, Virginia, Kenneth Atkins of Ridgeway, Virginia; one sister,
Barbara Norton and her husband , J.P. of Livingston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth "Kenny", her parents, Wilbur
and Mildred Parsons.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at
Brown-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel, Perry, Okla. Rev. Aaron
Summers will officiate. Interment will be in Grace Hill
Cemetery, Perry.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in care
of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th St., Perry, OK 73077.
