Hilda Lajean Russell Miller passed away on Monday, August 30,
2021, at Westhaven Nursing Home, in Stillwater, OK, at the age of 98, with
family present.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10am, Wednesday, September 8, 2021
at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, OK with Rev. Steve Smith officiating.
Hilda was born on March 27, 1923 to George B. and Mary Jane (Dunlap) Russell in
Marland, OK.
She married Clifford J. Miller on February 21, 1942, at the Presbyterian Manse,
in Perry, OK. The couple made their home in Ponca City where Cliff worked at
Conoco and Hilda was a homemaker.
Survivors include: sons, Gene Miller (Donna) of Shawnee, OK and Rusty Miller
(Angela) of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Vicky Mullins (Stan) of Perry, OK; six
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; close family friends; and two nieces and
one nephew.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford J. Miller; great grandson,
Caleb Miller; parents, George B. and Mary Jane Russell; and eight sisters and
two brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons
International, P.O. Box 1535, Stillwater, OK 74076. Your gift will help provide
Bibles and New Testaments around the world. The Gideons place Bibles in hotels,
prisons, hospitals, schools, military bases, and more. Hilda had several Bibles,
but her favorite, most cherished was her King James Version which is marked and
highlighted throughout. She would be humbled to have Bibles given in her memory.
