Glen Hildebrand, resident of Ponca City passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024. He was 83 years old.  

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church of Ponca City with Pastor Joseph Highley officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry.

Glen Hildebrand was born on December 9, 1940, in Perry, Oklahoma to Fannet and Elsie (Cruse) Hildebrand. He was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Perry. He attended grade school in Geuda Springs, Kansas and graduated from Perry High School in 1958. Glen married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Kay Kengle on January 20, 1961, at the Christ Lutheran Church in Perry. He then attended Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1963 with a degree in Physics.

Glen served two years in the army as a Signal Officer at Fort Gordon Georgia. After discharge from the army he joined the Continental Oil Exploration Department in 1965 and worked as a Geophysicist for thirty three years. He moved frequently in the early years before being permanently assigned to Ponca City in 1969. He served in several positions and activities in the First Lutheran Church and School. Glen will always be remembered by his family as a loving, caring husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons: Jay Hildebrand of Lake Jackson, TX and Vance Hildebrand and wife Vivian of Stillwater, OK;
 

Glen is proceeded in death by his parents, four brothers: Clarence, Floyd, Dale and Melvin.
 

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran School, 1101 N 4th St, Ponca City, OK 74601. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City OK 74601.
