PERRY - Graveside services for Edward Zavodny, 94, will be at 3 P.m. Saturday at the Bohemian Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Devlin officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Home of Perry.  The family will receive visitors from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. ate the funeral home, prior to the services.

He was born Nov. 30, 1902, at Brainard, Neb., to Joseph and Pauline Schultz Zavodny and died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 1997, at the Green Valley Nursing Home.

He attended rural schools in Nebraska and moved to the local area in 1918.  He married Josie Soulek on Mar 30, 1935, at Perry.  He farmed north of Perry for many years.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Sally) McKeown of Billing, Mrs. Dennis (Edda) Rupp ob Lucien; three sisters, Elsie Mornhinweg, Alma Dunagan, both of Perry, Libbye Kasper of Dochester, Neb. and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the charity of the donor's choice.
