Danny Dale Ketts, 90 of Billings, Oklahoma
passed away on Tuesday March 3, 2020. He was
a lifelong resident of Billings Oklahoma,
born on a farm to George and Helen Ketts on
November 12, 1929.
Danny attended school in Billings, Oklahoma
from kindergarten through high school where
he graduated. After gradation he Joined the
U. S. Air Force from June 1948 to August
1949. While stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming
he learned to be a mechanic. After returning
from his time of service he met and fell in
love with Laverta May Kriethe. On September
29, 1950, they married in Covington,
Oklahoma. To their union were born three
children; Mitchell, Regina, and Matt.
Danny owned his own mechanic shop in
Billings, Oklahoma called "Billings Service
Center." In 1969 he bought his first
McCormick-Deering tractor to restore.
Restoring tractors became his favorite past
time. Danny went on to buy a shed full of
tractors and a few combines for his farming
hobby. During harvest season he was up all
night cutting wheat. Danny also enjoyed
playing cards with his wife Laverta. They
would often play Pitch at the Old School
House near Garber, OK.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Regina
Ketts of Edmond, Oklahoma and son, Matt and
his wife Deborah Ketts of Enid, Oklahoma.
One grandchild, Tyler Bo and his wife Cherie
Ketts of Garber, Oklahoma. Two great
grandchildren Tyler Mitchell Ketts, and
Madison R. Ketts. One Sister Betty Ketts and
her family of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents
George and Helen Ketts, his loving wife of
66 years Laverta Ketts, Son, Mitchell Dean
Ketts, and two sisters Ruth Ketts, and Alda
Mae Ketts.
Services for Danny Ketts will be held on
Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 10:00 am in the
Billings Christian Church with burial to
follow at Billings Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Dugger
Funeral Home in Billings, Oklahoma on
Thursday, March 5, 2020, from 11:00 am until
7:00 pm, and Friday, March 6, 2020, from
11:00am until 7:00pm friends are welcome to
stop by and sign the book.
Memorial contributions can be made to the
billings FFA or to the Billings Christian
Church.
