William Earl Glass, 71, of Warner, Oklahoma passed away on July 4, 2020. He was born on November 15, 1948 to George W. Glass and Irene Grigg Glass in Wagoner, Oklahoma. He attended school at Checotah, Connors State College, and OSU, majoring in Chemistry.
On July 20, 1969 he married Janice (Griffin) Glass in Checotah, Oklahoma. They spent over 51 memorable years together. William worked at Carbonex Coal and Cross telephone for many years before retiring in 2017. He also served as a deacon, youth leader, and an excellent Sunday School teacher at Warner Assembly of God Church. He also served as a volunteer Warner Firefighter. He had many hobbies that included, playing music and fishing.
William is preceded in death by his father, George; brother, Tony; daughter, Amber.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Glass of the home; son, Timothy and TKay Glass of Warner, Oklahoma; mother, Irene Glass of Checotah, Oklahoma; sister, Teresa Glass of Checotah; grandson, Tyler Wardlow of Checotah, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Lauren and Hunter Walker of Gore, Oklahoma, Savanna Wardlow of Warner, Oklahoma; and Miesha Glass of Warner, Oklahoma; great-grandson, Waco Walker of Gore, Oklahoma; niece, Sonya Glass and Aaron Burger of Claremore, Oklahoma.
A celebration of William's life will be 2:00pm Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Warner Assembly of God Church with Pastor Floyd Collins and Pastor Josh McElyea officiating. Interment will follow at Warner Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Warner Fire Department or favorite charity.
Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 North York St, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
