Glen Cox

Sept 30, 1936 ~ Dec. 8, 2020

Glen Cox, Muskogee resident was born September 30, 1936 near Webbers Falls, OK the son of Eual "Smokey" and Irene (Hibbard) Cox. He passed from this life to his Heavenly home on December 8, 2020 at the age of 84.

Glen grew up around Webbers Falls and graduated from Webbers Falls High School While in high school Glen was a Golden Glove Boxer. He continued his education at Northeaster State University, receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Education/ Special Needs. On May 6, 1959 he was married to the former Wanda Goss in Stigler. He served his country in the United States Air Force Reserve.

For over 50 years Glen served in the ministry as a pastor. Together he and Wanda owned State Beauty Supply in Muskogee for 17 years. Glen loved to tinker with things, mainly small engines. He could fix anything. He was a prankster who loved life and being around people. He was a grandpa who was always there for his grandchildren. His family says he was a good man both in public and private.

Surviving are his wife Wanda of the home; three Sons: Tony Cox and wife Janie of Muskogee, Greg Cox and wife Teresa of Porter, Blake Cox and Tonja Patton of Muskogee; eight grandchildren: Jennifer Rooks and husband Josh, Jillia Fletcher and husband Drake, Jacob Cox and wife Tara, Amanda Butler and husband Jason, Zachary Cox, Hillary Pearson and husband Chris, Haleigh Carrier and husband Alan and Colby; thirteen great grandchildren, Sailor, Piper and Axel Rooks, Brooks and Briar Fletcher, Ella, Gracie and Cate Cox, Addalyn and Preston Butler, Cale and Channing Pearson and Lane Carrier; three brothers: Wendell Cox, Tommy Cox, Butch Cox; two sisters Betty Sheridan and Ginger Brixey.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 14, 2020 at Southeast Baptist Church with Rev. Monty Baggett officiating. Interment will be at Vaught Cemetery in Webbers Falls under the the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. Viewing will be Saturday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
