Georgie Lorene Ellis Riggs "Gigi" Pierce, 92, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 8, 1932 in Braggs, Oklahoma to Robert Franklin and Jessie Kathrine (Hall) Ellis. She attended Braggs Public School from which she graduated.
She married William "Bill" Pierce in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and shared more than 20 years of life, marriage, and memories together.
Gigi will always be remembered as an "adventurer". She enjoyed bowling, gardening, square dancing, and loved going to garage sales and estate sales.
She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Franklin and Jessie Katherin Ellis; husband, Bill Pierce; father of her children, James Riggs; her brothers and sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
Gigi is survived by her children, Robyn Pokrzywinski of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; son, Nick Riggs of Braggs, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Allyson Pokrzywinski and husband Peter Mech of Canon City, Colorado, Ariel Hobson, Beonca Hobson, and Brecken Hobson all of Muskogee; step children, Bill and Susan Pierce and family, David and Tammy Pierce and daughter Haley, and Bryan Pierce and son Adam; several great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services celebrating Gigi's life will be at 10AM, Monday, September 23, 2024 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donnie Echols officiating. Interment will follow at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs. Pallbearers will be Peter Mech, Johnathan Farmer, Eric Wayne Ellis, Leroy Ellis, Brecken Hobson, and Timmy Dale Frost. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Walters, Patrick Pokrzywinski, Bill Pierce, David Pierce, Brian Pierce, Adam Pierce, Jerel Ellis, Larry Steele, Jim Pierce and Dennis Whitaker.
