Mary L. "Dutchess" Wynn, in her 89th year, joined "Her Master's Heavenly Choir" on Sunday morning.
She was a dedicated educator, faithful member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, loyal Soror of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and a true Mentor, Friend and loved one to many. She endeared herself to as many people in Muskogee that they nicknamed her "Mother Wynn." She was always feeding people, sending money, flowers, calling them and giving them peaches. She also sent pecans to her relatives so they could enjoy the bountiful blessings of her yard.
She leaves in God's care; her sister, Ann James, Gresham, Oregon; her sister-in-law, Val Wynn, Dallas, Texas; her God-sister, Dr. Virginia Schoats, and her God-daughters, Helen [Joe] Ingram, and her adopted niece, Jerri Stoutermire, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma; along with other nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends who will cherish and miss her precious spirit.
Her Celebratory Worship Service in her honor will commence on Saturday morning, July 18, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. in the Timothy Baptist Church, 5530 West Okmulgee Avenue. Pastor Kelly Payne is the gracious host, and her Pastor, Reverend Gary Hall, Sr., will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum
You may visit "Dutchess" as she slumbers in sweet repose on Friday from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
Visitation on Saturday will be from 9:00 AM until service time only. The casket will not be opened at the conclusion of the celebration.
