Elenor (Pearson) Sundquist
June 5, 1914 ~ October 10, 2008

Elenor Sundquist, 94, lifetime Muskogee resident entered eternal life on Friday, October 10, 2008 at Broadway Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on Friday, June 5, 1914 in Otter Tail County, Minnesota to Sigverd and Anna Peterson Pearson. She graduated from high school in Wadena, Minnesota.

She met, fell in love and later married Victor E. Sundquist on July 19, 1939 in Wadena. They moved to Muskogee in 1950. She began a career that spanned over 31 years for Corning Glass, retiring as the Chief Inspector. Elenor was a long time member of the First Lutheran Church. She was a talented hummel painter, and loved doing ceramics at the Kiwanis Senior Citizen Center. She was named outstanding volunteer at the Community Pantry, Kelly B. Todd Physical Therapy Center and Muskogee Regional Medical Center. She also served as the recording secretary for the union for many years. She loved her Saturday breakfast's with her friends and loved to travel, especially to Alaska and Hawaii.

Elenor was preceded in death by her parents, Sigverd and Anna Pearson, husband Victor E. Sundquist, a brother Milton R. Pearson, one sister, Edith Johnson, and an infant sister, Teanora Pearson.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Gary Sundquist and his wife Mary of Muskogee, OK, Judy Young and husband Lavoy of Okay, OK, Her grandchildren Stacy Johnson of Okla. City, OK, Carmen Garrett and husband Cliff, and Vic Sundquist and his wife Sandy all of Ft. Gibson, OK, and Aaron Sundquist of Muskogee, OK; Five great-grandchildren, Camryn, Carson, Cooper, Emerson and Zak.

Her viewing and visitation will be held from 10 AM to 8 PM Monday, October 13, 2008 at Bradley Funeral Service of Muskogee. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at First Lutheran Church with Reverend Wayne Schuett officiating. Committal prayers and Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with J.R. Tye, B.K. Smith, Joe Cunningham and Joe Burk serving as Honorary Casket Bearers.
