Funeral services for Deloris June James, 71, of Muskogee, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Timothy Baptist Church with Reverend Kelly Payne officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Muskogee.
Deloris June James was born March 27, 1940 at Checotah, OK, the fourth child of eight children to Denver and Dollie (Shores) Chandler. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 11,
2012. She married Johnny James in 1983 in Arkansas. He preceded her in death.
She was a line inspector at Zapata Industries in Muskogee. She was a member of York Street Christian Church. Deloris loved her grandchildren, bowling and golf.
Survivors include her children, Billy Irwin of Muskogee, Suanna Irwin of Inola, OK; sister, Carolyn Downs; brothers, Billy Chandler of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Harold Dean Chandler of Checotah, OK, Carl Leon Chandler of Hitchita, OK, Cole Anthony Chandler of Hitchita, OK; daughter-in-law, Gage Irwin and grandchildren, Nicholas Irwin, Courtney Irwin, Paige Irwin; many nieces and nephews, cousins and loved ones.
