Jesse Virgil Phillips Jr.
October 4, 1946 ~ October 22, 2015

Jesse Virgil Phillips Jr. was born on October 4, 1946 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Jesse Virgil Phillips and Bessie Faye (Yocham) Phillips. He passed from this life on October 22, 2015 at his home in Bixby, Oklahoma, 18 days after his 69th birthday.

Jesse grew up in the country and loved seeing cows & horses in the pasture, tractors working in the fields, watching things grow and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He worked many years as a truck driver, both for himself as well as several companies.

He was proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Army. He worshipped at the Haskell First Assembly of God Church. He was most proud of being married to his beloved Joyce and raising three great kids in the country.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce as well as by 1 brother; Harold Phillips and 1 sister; Ella Mae Rombach.

He is survived by 2 sons; Randall Jean McClure of Houston & Chip Phillips of Haskell, 1 daughter; Terri Robin McClure of Eufaula, 1 brother; Sherman Phillips of Muskogee, 5 grandchildren; Jeremy McClure, Grant McClure, Seth Merrie, Shelley Tidwell & Jacob Reece, 6 great-grandchildren; Avery, Liam, Chase, Cody, Hannah & Dillan as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and longtime friends.

Casket bearers are Clyde Spotts, Ricky Gordon, Doug Quinn, Roger Graves, Jerry Graves, Bob Lewis & Larry Peterson. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 in the Haskell First Assembly of God Church officiated by Rev. Donald Hogue, Jr. and John Moats. Interment will follow in the Haskell Cemetery.
