Kennith Don “Hacksaw” Graves, life-long resident of Haskell, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 in Tulsa at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 18 days. He was born August 20, 1946 in Haskell, Ok to Bennie Cleveland and Margie Elaine (Cheatham) Graves.
Hacksaw received his education at Haskell Schools and attended the Assembly of God Church. He served in the National Guard for 6 years. He worked at many jobs in his life-time, such as a carpenter and electrician, but most recently as a truck driver for O and O Trucking.
Kennith was widely known for his joy of storytelling, telling them over and over again.
Mr. Graves is preceded in death by his father Bennie Cleveland Graves, brother Bob Roberts and sister Claudine Foutch. He is survived by his mother Margie Kort of Haskell, Jeannie Graves and Ryan of the home, son Bennie Graves and Anna of Edmond, daughters Angela of Tulsa, Kendra of Haskell, Tiffany of Tulsa, brothers Roger Graves and Sue, Jerry Graves and Delise, Robin Roberts and Kristy, and Billy Roberts all of Haskell, 7 grandchildren with 1 on-the-way, several great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the
Haskell Assembly of God Church with Rev. Donald Hogue, Jr. officiating. Dowdy
Funeral Home will direct.
