Lanette Elaine Wofford, 63, of Wagoner, Oklahoma entered heaven's gate on July 5, 2020. She was born on August 7, 1956 to Roy H. Adams, Jr. and Patsy Jo (Ellis) Adams in Muskogee, Oklahoma. On July 27, 1979 she married Joe Harold Wofford, Jr. They spent over 40 memorable years together.
Lanette was a medical transcriptionist for over 30 years. For the last 11 years, she also worked at Herringshaw Waste Management as the billing coordinator. She enjoyed spending her spare time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Lanette is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Harrison Adams, Jr. and
Patsie Jo Adams; sister, Mary Dungan.
She is survived by her husband, Joe H.
Wofford, Jr. of Wagoner, Oklahoma; son, Chris Dugan of Grand Junction, Colorado;
daughter, Alicia Herringshaw and husband Marc of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma;
grandchildren, Cole, Conner, Graham, and Adelaine; brothers, Ron Adams of
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Roy Adams and wife Patti of Muskogee, Oklahoma;
sister, Tish Epperson and husband Dan of Muskogee, Oklahoma; numerous nieces,
nephews, and in-laws that she loved dearly.
Public Visitation will be held 1:00pm-7:00pm Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
A celebration of Lanette's life will be held 10:00am Friday, July 10, 2020 at Greenhill Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Gary Underwood officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to The American
Cancer Society in honor of Lanette.
Funeral services are under the direction
of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 North York St, Muskogee, Oklahoma. Condolences
