Eva "Garlene" (Bacon) Lorenz
August 3, 1940 ~ May 27, 2021

Garlene was born on August 3, 1940 to Gerald and Janetta Bacon in Warwick, OK. After graduating from Welston High School in 1957 at the age of 16, she immediately began working. She held several positions during her life as an administrative secretary and was an extraordinary homemaker and stay at home mom.

In 1955, Garlene met the love of her life A.C. Lorenz. They wed in 1959 and were married for 61 years until A.C.'s death in 2020. A.C. and Garlene built their life together first in Edmond Oklahoma and then in Muskogee. They have 3 children, Chris, Ronnie, and Lisa. Without a doubt, Garlene's greatest joys in life came when she took on the role of caregiver to her grandchildren. She loved every minute of that time where she affectionately and will forever be remembered as Mimi. Garlene exuded a kind and loving nature to everyone she ever encountered making her beloved by so many.

Garlene is survived by her children: Chris Lorenz, Ronnie Lorenz and his wife Angela, and Lisa Lorenz-Potts and her husband Robert Potts, and 4 grandchildren, Trey Potts, Bethany Potts, Joshua Lorenz and Tiffani Bailey.

A double celebration of Garlene and Albert Carl "A.C." Lorenz's lives will be 2PM, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bill Crow officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 N. York Street, Muskogee, OK. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com

Albert Carl Lorenz, Jr.
November 25, 1938 - July 26, 2020

Albert Carl Lorenz, Jr. of Muskogee, OK, passed away on July 26, 2020.

A.C., as his friends and family knew him, was born on November 25, 1938 to Albert Sr. and Anna Lorenz in Wellston, OK. After graduating from Wellston High School in 1957, he attended Central State College in Edmond, received a masters degree in education and began teaching in Edmond and Oklahoma City. He sold cars during the summer months and ultimately made a 40 year career in the automobile industry as a salesman and manager, exclusively at Ford  dealerships.

In 1955, A.C. met the love of his life, Garlene Bacon. They wed in 1959, going on to have 3 children, Chris, Ronnie, and Lisa.

After retiring as General Manager of James Hodge Ford in Muskogee, in 2009, A.C. spent his time tending to many animals on his beloved acreage in West Muskogee, loved Country Western and Bluegrass music and enjoyed attending festivals of all kinds. He showed unconditional love for his family, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

A.C. is survived by his wife of 61 years Garlene; his sister Linda Fruendt and her husband Ralph; his three children, Chris Lorenz, Ronnie Lorenz and his wife Angela, and Lisa Lorenz-Potts and her husband Robert; and his 4 grandchildren, Trey, Bethany, Joshua and Tiffani.

Services are not planned at this time and will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to First Lutheran Church of Muskogee.

Cremation services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 N. York Street, Muskogee, OK. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com.
