February 25, 1955 - May 7, 2021

Jerry Dupont, 66, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 with his loving family at his side. He was born February 25, 1955 in Shamrock, Texas to Henry and Dora Lea (Black) Dupont. He attended public schools and graduated in 1973 from Okay High School in Okay, Oklahoma.

Jerry married Kimberly Kay (Ross) Dupont on September 30, 2000 at their home in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. They shared more than 20 years of life, marriage, and making memories together.

He worked for Georgia Pacific and retired in 2013 after 32 years of service.

Jerry will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors, hunting and fishing, riding his motorcycle, taking care of his cows and horses, but his greatest joy was his family.

Jerry was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dora Lea Dupont; father-in-law, Wayman Ross; and grandson, Dereck Schons.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Kim of the home; son, Danny Dupont and wife Michele; daughter, Jeri Melissa Day and husband Jack, all of Muskogee; step-daughter, Lindsey Byrd and husband Sam of Tahlequah; brothers, Henry Dupont and wife Lydia of Okay, Terry Dupont and wife Cathy of Broken Arrow; sister, Sharrie Dupont of Alma, AR; grandkids, Madison Dupont, Katie Dupont, Peyton Day, all of Muskogee, Ben Schons of OKC, Gracee Byrd, Asher Byrd, both of Tahlequah, Josh Day of Mulhall, and Jordan Day of Perkins; great-grandkids, Savannah Schons of San Antonio, TX, Willow Schons of La Plata, MO, Jackson Day of Perkins; nieces, Alisha Whitehead and husband Brad of Lamar, AR, Amanda Bryant and husband Amos of Alma, AR, Sabrina Dupont of Okay, Chelsey Dupont of Broken Arrow; nephew, Cody Dupont and wife Ragan of Allison, TX; along with other family members and friends.

Jerry's life will be celebrated at 2PM, Monday, May 17, 2021 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Charles Cotner officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Sparrow, Lenny Williams, Billy Youngblood, Darrel Smith, Ken McGlothlin, Trapper McDaniel, Juicy Green, Justin Snider, and Eldon Staton.
