Margie Marie (Faith) Davis, 89, of High Hill, Oklahoma passed away Saturday August 5, 2023, at Cascade Place Assisted Living in Enumclaw, Washington. She was born on April 9, 1934, to John Edward and Ora Mae (Surber) Faith. Margie attended the first through eighth grade at High Hill School in High Hill, Oklahoma. She went on to graduate as Valedictorian from Haileyville High School. During her life, Margie was always curious and continued to educate herself.

After graduation, Margie moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma where she worked as a Teller at a local Bank. She met Harold "Jim" Davis at a church function and they married on January 10, 1955. The couple lived in Muskogee for 2 years and celebrated the birth of their eldest daughter Tomi Sue (Davis) Cunningham. They then moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 1961 where they were gifted with the birth of their youngest daughter Shere Marie (Davis) Myer.

The family moved to League City, Texas, to follow Jim's career at Nasa in 1966. Against the moving company rules, Margie transported many plants including a large red Martha Washington geranium that she hid in a trash can. Margie was a self-taught Master Gardener who loved propagating plants and would bring clippings from other gardens around the world and nurture them to grandeur in her garden. Margie taught herself to play gospel music on the piano and often played at church functions. She loved the Lord, and she studied the Bible in Bible study classes as well as taught Sunday school at various churches for many years.

Margie was a homemaker until her two girls were in grade school. She then worked for many years at the League City State Bank in League City, Texas. Margie retired with her husband and moved to San Antonio, Texas for 5 years. She and Jim enjoyed traveling the country in their travel trailer, driven mostly by Margie herself. After Jim's passing in July,1992, Margie became an avid country western dancer, she traveled on birding expeditions, and she spent many hours in her garden which was a delight to all who visited.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband Harold James "Jim" Davis, her father John Edward Faith; her mother Ora Mae (Surber) Faith; her sisters Hazel Brown, Murel Kay, and Willie Mae Copeland; her brothers Edward "Cotton" Faith, Glen Faith, Raymond Faith, and Donald Faith.
