Daisy Reed Compassi was born to Elbert J. and Cora McGill Reed March 12, 1922 in Lincoln, Arkansas. She reached the limit of her life on earth July 11, 2015.
Daisy and Albert Compassi were married December 29, 1946 in Muskogee. Albert had just recently bought Denver Street Grocery and together they operated the small family store for fourteen years. These were always remembered as happy, hard working years, as they were blessed with the birth of their three children during this time.
Later, Daisy was employed as a telephone operator at the VA Medical Center and retired after twenty years of service there.
Home and family were uppermost in her thoughts as she lived day to day. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was active in the Women’s organization and also belonged to the Adult Bible Study Class for many years. She was also preceded by her parents, one brother and one sister who died very young. In addition, sister, Ammalea Snodegrass and brother Fount Reed also preceded her.

Also surviving are granddaughter, Theresa Gatti and partner, Tristan Sedbrook of Englewood, Colorado; grandson, Michael Gatti and wife, Marie, of Laurel, Maryland; and great-grandsons, Vincent and Alexander Gatti of Laurel, Maryland.
