Leo E. Cahill Jr., 84, of Fort Gibson was born January 24, 1933 to Leo and Mary (Jane) Cahill and entered Heaven's Gates on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at his home.
Leo grew up in Muskogee where he attended school. He joined the Navy in 1951 and received an honorable discharge in 1955. On May 26, 1961 he married Yvonne and they had a loving marriage lasting 55 years. He was a member of the Old Country Baptist Church. Leo enjoyed working in his yard, carpentry, golfing, fixing things and taking care of his family. His greatest joy was his grandchildren.
Leo began his career at OG&E in 1965 and retired in 1994 as the Superintendent of Operations.
Leo is survived by his daughters, Sharon Littrell and husband Danny, and Janie Cahill; grandsons, Jeremy Clinkenbeard and wife Amy and Bryan Clinkenbeard and wife Lorin; granddaughter, Erin Turner and husband Matt; great-grandsons, Jace and Cade Clinkenbeard, Blake Clinkenbeard, and Murry Turner; his faithful dog Scamp and many friends.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne.
A celebration of Leo's life will be held 2:00PM, Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Gibson with Dr. Newel Poteet officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee.

Valena Yvonne Cahill, 77, of Fort Gibson was born September 2, 1939 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Jess and Gladys (Cooper) Cantrell and entered Heaven's Gates on Monday, September 5, 2016.
Yvonne grew up in Muskogee, where she attended school. On May 26, 1961, Yvonne married Leo Cahill in Muskogee. This was a beautiful and loving marriage that lasted 55 years. Yvonne spent countless hours telling Leo to tend to her beautiful flowerbeds. Yvonne was a faithful member of the Old Country Baptist Church for many years. She loved baking desserts, shopping for beautiful things, and listening to Elvis, Gospel, and Country music. She always made Christmas extra special for everyone. She loved attending all sporting events of which her grandchildren participated. Yvonne was a faithful fan of the OKC Thunder and enjoyed watching PGA golf on television. She enjoyed traveling with Leo, but her passion in life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Yvonne is survived by her loving husband, Leo; daughters, Sharon Littrell and husband Danny, and Janie Cahill; grandsons, Jeremy Clinkenbeard and wife Amy; Bryan Clinkenbeard and wife Lorin; granddaughter, Erin Turner and husband Matt; great-grandsons, Jace and Cade Clinkenbeard, Blake Clinkenbeard, and Murry Turner; sister, Marilyn Cantrell; brother, Mickey Cantrell; many nieces, nephews, cousins, her dog Scamp, and many friends.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank the staff at Eastgate Nursing Center for their love and exemplary care during Yvonne's stay.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home with family receiving friends 5PM-7PM.
A celebration of Yvonne's life will be held 2PM, Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Old Country Baptist Church in Woodall, OK with Dr. Newel Poteet officiating.
