Dolores Ann (Rasch) Plowman

Dolores Ann (Rasch) Plowman
September 28, 1929 ~ April 24, 2020

Dolores Ann Rasch Plowman was born in Tulsa, OK on September 28, 1929 and passed away in Oklahoma City, OK, on April 24, 2020 of natural causes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Heinreich Reinhold Rasch and Catherine Hahn Rasch; husband Jack Plowman; brother in-law Willard Plowman and sister in-laws, Patricia and Ella Mae Plowman.

She is survived by her daughters Denise (Ron McGee) Ringhand, Kathy (Brian) Berg, and Jana Plowman. Dolores is also survived by her grandchildren, Scott Miller, Sgt. Keith Berg, and Specialist Eric Berg. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Dr. Paul E. Plowman (Beverly Scribner) and a host of nieces, nephews, and their families.

Dolores was a 1947 graduate of Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, OK. She went on to work for Southwestern Bell, and was the first person to score 100% on its math test. She later worked for Sinclair Oil, and ultimately retired from the law firm of Miller, Dollarhide. Dolores witnessed many events in her life, from being born at the start of the Great Depression; riding bareback on a horse to attend Bixby schools, which at that time was a one-room school house; and ultimately dying during a pandemic. She was an avid reader of murder mysteries, and loved to work puzzles. Dolores was an “arm chair coach” for OU sports, the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and The OKC Thunder.

The family would like to thank the staff at Meadowlakes Retirement Village, Physicians Choice Hospice, and our dear Cheryl Smith for all of their help and support.

Private services are planned for Wednesday, with burial in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Salvation Army or the charity of your choice.
