L. Stanley "Stan" Martin
May 27, 1933 ~ April 12, 2020

L. Stanley "Stan" Martin of Muskogee OK, passed away on April 12, 2020. He was born on May 27th, 1933 to Tinnie Mae & Clarence F. Martin in Vinita, OK.

Stan attended college at Northeastern State in Tahlequah, and Oklahoma State University, in Stillwater, OK, with a BS in Business Administration in 1961.

Stan served proudly for 4 years in the US Navy, from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War.

He married the love of his life, Sena Ann Jensen on December 22, 1962 in Tulsa OK. Stan & Sena had 3 children, and 1 grandchild.

He spent his entire professional career of 30 years at Southwestern Bell as a Unit Manager, working in Tulsa, Bartlesville, Miami, Muskogee & OKC, Oklahoma.

Stan was a passionate philanthropist, serving his community through many great organizations: Jaycees, Optimists, Elks Lodge, Boy Scouts of America, Masonic Lodge #28, Shriners and various youth organizations with his children/granddaughter. His greatest hobby of all time was working on his many Ford cars, specifically his beloved 1950 Ford Convertible, seen in many of Muskogee's Azalea and Christmas parades.

Stan is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sena Ann Martin, his children, Lori Martin of Muskogee, OK, Chris Martin & husband Fred Law, of Atlanta, GA, Mitchell Martin of Dallas, TX, his granddaughter, Jensen Martin of Muskogee, OK, his brother, Billy Martin of Kingsville Maryland, & sister, Sue Humphreys of Littleton, Colorado. He leaves behind his beloved dogs Harley and Greta (Little Bit). He also has many nieces/nephews in Oklahoma, Colorado, Maryland, Minnesota, and Kansas. He will be missed also by his beloved class members and close friends.

Services will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home at 1830 N. York Street, Muskogee OK, 74403 on Friday, June 26th at 10:00am.

Interment will be held at Ft Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Road, Ft Gibson, OK 74434 at 12 noon, following the funeral.

The Martin Family would like to give many thanks to the loving care he received at Brookdale Senior Living of Muskogee while he was at the center. Season's Hospice gave wonderful care to Stan (and the family) during his transition period. Both facilities were a great blessing & comfort to Stan and the family during his last few months with us.

Memorials or donations may be made in Stan's name to the Shriner's Hospital Transportation Fund (donate.lovetotherescue.org/) or to the Bedouin Temple, PO Box 1667, Muskogee, OK 74402.

Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 North York St, Muskogee, Oklahoma.
