A home going Celebration will be conducted Friday, September 25, 2015, 10:30 a.m., 18th & Denison Church of Christ, Muskogee, OK; with Bro. Eric Rodgers, eulogizing. Interment will follow in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
On January 23, 1936, a baby girl named Alice Marie Porter was born to Robert and Fannie (Jackson) Porter in Muskogee, Oklahoma and she transitioned, Sunday, September 20, 2015 in Grace Living Center, Oklahoma City, OK. at the age of 79.
1n 1954, Alice met Rudolph Hitchye and in 1956 they were joined in Holy Matrimony. To this union, three daughters were born..
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, one sister, and three brothers.
Survivors include her daughters Charlotte McCormick and Sheila (Jesse) Adkins, all of Oklahoma City, OK; Sherry (Milton) Ashiru, Atlanta, GA; and one granddaughter, Jessica Adkins, Oklahoma City, OK; three sisters, Jeanette Ceasar, Maria Rowland and Phyllis Porter, Muskogee, OK; four brothers, Jerry Porter and Michael Porter, Both of Benicia, CA; Dennis Porter, Oklahoma City, OK; and Albert Porter, Muskogee, OK; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
