Donna Sue Cowan passed from this life on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at her home in Tulsa. She was 56 years old.
Donna was born December 14, 1951 in Muskogee, OK to Henry and Mildred (McBurnett) Miller.
Donna graduated from Muskogee High in 1969. She married Larry Moody in 1971 and there were three children born to this union, Natasha, Chad and Joshua. Donna and Larry lived in the Muskogee area until their divorce in 1986.
She served in the United States Air Force from 1972-1974.
Donna was a licensed Cosmetologist and she earned a Bachelors Degree in Special Education from NSU. She medically retired from the Oklahoma Employment Office in 1999. Donna lived in the Tulsa area from 1988 until her time of death.
Donna married John William Cowan Jr. in 1999 in Miami, OK.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Henry Richard Miller and her Grandparents George and Monnie McBurnett.
She leaves behind to miss her dearly, her Husband John of the home, one Daughter, Natasha Gates and husband Bradley of Broken Arrow, two Sons, Chad Moody, Joshua Moody and wife Jenny all of Fort Gibson. Her Mother and Step-Father, Mildred and Joe Ewing of Muskogee, one Sister Linda Pruitt and Husband Don of Oklahoma City, one Brother, Rick Ewing and Wife Sharon of Muskogee. Also left behind, the light of her life, her Grandchildren, Jeremy, Zachary, Isaac, Jacob, Daniel, Michael, and Myah Moody.
A celebration of Donnas' life will be held Wednesday November 12 at 10:00 AM at Bradley Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Gibson With Reverend Greg Cox officiating. Burial will follow at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Chad Moody, Joshua Moody, Jeremy Moody, and Zachary Moody.
The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Fort Gibson with the arrangements.
