Anthony Louis Carlisle

Anthony Louis Carlisle
December 2, 1960 ~ May 23, 2026

Anthony Louis Carlisle, 65, of Tahlequah, OK, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him. Born on December 2, 1960, in Marks, MS, he was the son of the late Thomas Lavern Carlisle and Violet Maybell (Jones) Carlisle.

A public viewing will take place at Hart Funeral Home on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, giving friends and family the chance to pay their respects. Following that, a graveside service will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery at 11 AM where Anthony will be laid to rest.

Anthony had a zest for life that was evident in everything he did. In his younger days, he was known as a boxer and carried that tenacity into his passions for fishing, hunting, and wood carving. He cherished time spent with his dogs and loved being surrounded by family, making him a true hero in their hearts.

In addition his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Carlisle, Benjamin Carlisle, Samuel Carlisle, and David Carlisle.

He is survived by his devoted wife, April Carlisle; his children, Dennis, Lewis, and Franklin; and his brother, Navis. He also leaves behind his sisters, Mary Fix, Margaret Carlisle, and Becky Hurst, and Lorece Carlisle along with eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Anthony will always be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the love he shared with everyone around him.
